Osu and Ohu caste(the Igbo out caste

The Osu caste tradition is an ancient practice in the south-eastern part of Nigeria,  Igboland that denies a group of persons called Osu (Igbo outcast) of social interaction and marriage with the rest members of the community.

Osus are dedicated to the deities (Alusi) of Igboland; they are considered as inferior beings and are usually separated from the Nwadiala or diala (Igbo: real born) as clearly stated above.
